ÇANKAYA HOSPITAL

Çankaya Hospital located at the very heart of Ankara is the very first ever established private surgery hospital in the capital. The hospital has been operating since 1968 and has a prestigious past as well as future due to its reputation for providing some of the most highly qualified professional doctors in Turkey.

Çankaya Hospital performs surgery and offers medical services in the medical branches of “Cardiology”, “Orthopaedics & “Traumatology”, “Cardio Vascular Surgery”,  “Micro Surgery” and “Obstetrics & Maternity”.

Today Cankaya Hospital is a private investment with shareholders whom serve in the “Board of Directors” for decision making and establishing company policy. A  total of 250 medical personnel are active in the establishment. There are a number of 29 doctors at different departments.

The hospital with numbers has 5 operation rooms,  two fully high-tech equipped intensive care units with eleven  beds, 63 nurses monitor patients on a 24 hour basis. The hospital has an established  24 hour emergency department, a “Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory”, “Diagnostic Radiology Unit”, “Maternity Room”, and a modern laboratory which can perform biochemical, microbiological, and hematology tests.  Yearly approxiamately 7500 operations take place these are conducted by : 1300 operations at the Cardio Vascular department, 3000 operations at the Cardiology department (most of these being coronary angio plasty patients), 700 operations at the Hand Surgery and 2500 operations take place at the Orthopaedics & Traumatology department. Yearly mortality rate of the hospital is % 0.5 – %1 and morbidity rate (illness, disease) is %2.
