All patients should know which rights thay have while receiving medical care at the Cankaya Hospital. These are:

· Every patient no matter what religion nationality background they have, have the full right to receive quality health care.

· Every patient has the right to receive complete, current and correct  information from their doctor concerning their diagnosis and  treatment All information is explained prior to the treatment required and  the doctor will make sure that the information given is fully understood by the patient. If the patient is medically unavailable then a family member will receive the information.

· Every patient has the right to select the doctor of their choice  to receive treatment at the hospital, and all medical care details such as:  case discussion, consultation, examination, and medical treatment are strictly confidential and are conducted discreetly. Information is only given to the patient and to those selected by the patient. The patient has the right to expect that all communications and records pertaining to his/her care are to be treated as confidential. The patient prior to his / her treatment has the right to obtain all information  concerning any professional relationships among individuals at the hospital. 

· If medically permissible, a patient may be transferred to another medical facility only after he /she has received complete information and explanation concerning the needs for and alternatives to such a transfer.

· The patient has the right to know in advance information on appointment times and doctors are available at the hospital for his/her treatment.

· As the patient he /she has the right to know the “hospital rules and regulations” applying to his/her conduct for the duration of  the hospitalization

· The patient has the right to examine and receive an explanation of his / her costs pertaining to the treatment , regardless of the source of payment.
